About My ABA Today
My ABA Today was created by a team of three BCBA’s in Orlando, Fl- Dr. Tim Lloyd, Monica Hedrick, and Alicia Wolstenholme. The idea began as a way to help families overcome the difficulty of finding qualified providers of Applied Behavior Analysis in their areas. My ABA Today is, at its core, a resource for families.
But there were other features that this team wished to explore. My ABA Today was not designed to be just a convenient search engine, but also a place where families could meet and connect with providers prior to receiving services. This directory allows families to see a provider’s face, read about his or her history and background, and contact them to begin the process of connecting with them on a human level. ABA therapy is a journey, and central to that journey is trust. My ABA Today allows this trust to begin developing from the very beginning.
Furthermore, My ABA Today was created as a place for behavior analysts to showcase what sets them apart from others. There are many other directories for professionals in the fields of psychology, counseling, mediation, etc., but no directory previously existed exclusively for ABA therapists. My ABA Today is an environment for all things related to ABA. We wish to promote the field of ABA in a positive, contemporary fashion, and to take ABA to the mainstream.
To all ABA providers, we at My ABA Today encourage you to invest in yourself by creating a listing in our directory. Use this place to promote yourself, share your background, and with one of our premium subscriptions, connect with families by sharing images or videos, or connecting your listing to your other social media accounts or online blogs. Let My ABA Today help you grow your business and become even more successful at what you do.
It is the goal of My ABA Today to be the premiere online resource for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapists and consumers, both in the United States and Internationally.
Although Applied Behavior Analysis has long been used as the most effective, science-based treatment for autism and other intellectual disabilities, ABA is also an important tool for employers, workers, educators, and those in recovery from addiction, abuse, and other forms of trauma. The creative team at My ABA Today curates a digital magazine which covers news, information, and opinion on a wide variety of behavior-related topics in an engaging way.
